I agree in principle, with regard to lenses that appear as EF and RF variants. But, I would disagree on the 24-70mm range mainly because of the cost difference. This is my personal bias, but the RF 24-70mm f/2.8 is almost the cost of the 28-70mm f/2, which is a substantially better lens, and isn't that much of an improvement over the EF version.

All said, I think the Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8L USM Lens is one of the best Canon walk-around/all-purpose lenses made.
